When we started Sweet Security, we weren’t trying to build just another security company. We were questioning a basic assumption: why are we still protecting the cloud with tools built for a world that no longer exists? Static scans and endless alerts made sense in the agentless era but not in today’s cloud, where everything is dynamic, distributed, and powered by AI.
We imagined a different approach: security that sees what’s happening in real time and adapts instantly. Today, that vision takes a major step forward.
Sweet Security has raised $75 million in Series B funding, led by Evolution Equity Partners with participation from Munich Re Ventures, Glilot Capital Partners, and Key1 Capital. This brings our total funding to $125 million and marks the next phase in our mission to secure the modern enterprise across both cloud and AI environments.
Redefining Security for the Runtime Era
Runtime is where everything happens. It’s where applications execute, where identities interact, and where attackers strike. Static scans and configuration checks are important but they only show what could happen, not what is happening. That’s why we built Sweet as a runtime-first CNAPP. Our sensors operate in real time, providing deep visibility into workloads, applications, and cloud infrastructure as they run. This live context allows teams to detect and respond to threats instantly, reducing noise and surfacing only what truly matters. It’s the difference between chasing alerts and understanding intent.
Extending Runtime to the Age of AI
We are now witnessing another technological leap. AI systems are now integrated into critical business workflows, making decisions, writing code, and even talking to other systems. But these same capabilities introduce new risks: invisible data access, over-permissioned agents, and vulnerabilities that don’t fit into traditional security models.
Our response is the Sweet AI Security Platform (AISP) - a unified solution that maps every model and agent, monitors their behavior in real time, and detects adversarial attacks like prompt injections or overreach attempts before they cause harm.
By extending our runtime engine to AI systems, we’re helping enterprises secure the next generation of innovation with the same clarity and confidence we brought to cloud defense.
A Foundation for What Comes Next
I see this funding as not just fuel for growth, but also as validation of a belief shared by our team, our customers, and our investors. A belief that security must evolve at the speed of innovation. Over the next year, we’ll expand globally, deepen our AI detection capabilities, and continue building a platform that brings together the best minds in cloud security and AI.
To our customers, thank you for trusting us to protect your most critical systems.
To our investors and our team, thank you for proving every day that bold ideas and disciplined execution can reshape an industry.
We’re just getting started.
