Job description

Sweet Security is looking for a hands-on Security Researcher to join our core R&D team and help build the next generation of cloud runtime protection. In this role, you’ll dive deep into vulnerabilities, attack techniques, and detection strategies, while also translating your research into real, working code that powers our product. If you're passionate about threat research, low-level systems, and writing clean, effective code to stop cloud attacks in their tracks, this is your chance to make a deep impact in one of cybersecurity’s most cutting-edge domains.

Job requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in security research, reverse engineering, or vulnerability analysis.
  • Proficiency in writing secure, efficient code in Python, C/C++, Go, or Rust.
  • Strong understanding of operating system internals (Linux, Windows) and low-level programming.
  • Experience with detection technologies (e.g., behavioral analytics, anomaly detection, signature-based techniques).
  • Familiarity with cloud environments and modern infrastructure (e.g., containers, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Job responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research into cloud-native threats, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques.
  • Design and implement detection and prevention mechanisms based on research findings.
  • Develop production-grade code to support real-time threat detection and response.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other researchers to design new security capabilities.
  • Continuously monitor emerging threats and incorporate relevant findings into the product.
  • Contribute to our internal knowledge base and, when appropriate, publish research to the wider security community.

Advantages

  • Experience contributing to security products or platforms in runtime/cloud environments.
  • Background in offensive security or red teaming.
  • Publications, talks, or CVEs in relevant areas of security research.
